His Ministry

The Great High Priest, Jesus Christ, Offering Himself in the Holy Eucharist

The Parable of Responsibility

Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody were members of a group. There was an important job to do and Everybody was asked to do it. Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody would have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody would do it, but Nobody realized that Anybody would not do it. It ended up that Everybody, blamed Somebody, when Nobody did, what Anybody could have done.

Condensed version of Charles Osgood’s, “A Poem About Responsibility”

St. Paul writes to the disciples of Jesus Christ, “Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it.”  1 Corinthians 12:27

Therefore we are His eyes, His ears, His voice, His hands, His feet, His means of loving and serving the world all around us. We might even say we are “HIs Ministry“, because unless we become the people He is calling us to be, His work won’t get done!

What is it that YOU uniquely see that needs to be done? How is God speaking to YOUR heart to get involved? What is it that God is calling YOU to do with your talents to be more committed? And when will YOU take action to make a positive difference in this world?

When that day arrives “His Ministry” will become a reality in you, and may even appear on this website page!

Let us pray to the Lord,

“Oh God, we pray that you would give us more courage and faith and love for one another, that you would enable us to see people as you would have us see them, and that you will strengthen us to minister to them as you would have us minister to them. Amen”

Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.” Hebrews 12:12-13

Until you own the whole problem, you’re just part of the problem.
